Texans set a high bar on Tuesday March 3 for voter turnout in their primary election. For the first time since 2002, more Democrats voted in their primary than Republicans. Let's rise to their challenge and turn up strong for Ohio's May 5th primary. Over the next 4 weeks, we'll be updating this page with information the primary candidates appearing on your ballot for the Democratic Party when early voting starts on April 7th! We'll be sharing each candidate's information and how you can connect with them directly. Candidate Spotlight: Kurt Kuhl – County Commissioner (Democratic Primary)
Kurt is a first-time candidate running in the May 5, 2026 Democratic primary for County Commissioner. He served five years in the Ohio Army National Guard as a Military Policeman and holds degrees in Atmospheric Sciences from The Ohio State University and Business Administration from Ohio Business College.
